Live Soldado: I played with Figo, Zidane and Raoul, but did not follow their example

One of the La Liga veterans, Granada striker Roberto Soldado, returned to his youth as a footballer in his native Real Madrid, expressing outrage over his behavior during this period.

I was a stick. There were players like Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Raoul Gonzalez who were great professionals, but I set an example from others. I followed what I shouldn`t have. You have to be responsible for yourself, to know what is good and what is not, as well as where the boundaries are. I came out thinking I was bigger than David Beckham. I wasn`t mentally prepared, it`s hard. I wish I had the opportunity to play 100% for Real Madrid. Now, looking back, I realize that I was a stick. Someone had to slap me a slap.

I am currently weighing 7 pounds less than I was in Madrid. I look at my pictures and I am ashamed. I didn`t pay attention, I ate a lot. Now I wonder how I could play with the galacticos stars in this form. If I was paying more attention and more mature, I might have a better chance. This idea remains in your head. If someone gave me a glass of wine, I drank it, and as we speak, I drank a second. At 17-18, if anyone suggested I go out and have a drink at 1 o`clock in the night, I was the first to be ready.

The club via soccer live stream called my parents. My dad took a 2-year break from his job, moved to Madrid, and set boundaries for me. Then I moved on to a friend who is also currently in Granada, and became more mature. There I met my wife and everything was fine. I knew I had gone too far, that I had crossed the border. When I went out to Madrid, I met many people. They could lead this life because they were not professional football players, they did not have to play in Real Madrid. After all, you understand it. If you want, go out, I have other things to do. Thanks to my parents and my wife for putting me on the right track. They did a good job, said 34-year-old Soldado in an interview with the Guardian.
