Formula 1 champion 2009 Jenson Button shared his opinion about the conflict that arose in Red Bull between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.


According to Button, the public should not blame Verstappen, given that real champions are rarely willing to give anyone points:


It is Max who wins the races. If Cheko is unhappy with this, it`s only his problem. Sebastian Vettel did the same. Remember stories with multi-21 and so on. At the same time, we consider Seb a nice and wonderful guy.


Button also doubts that, given the form of the pilots in recent races, Verstappen will be able to provide Perez with any active help at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix:


If Checo is far behind Max - if he is in the lead and Checo is behind in 20 seconds, for example, then Max is unlikely to slow down to let his teammate pass.
