Running back Ezekiel Elliott has agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys.


The Cowboys selected Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 draft. In his first four seasons, the running back was a three-time All-Star and a contender for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Elliott was released by Dallas after the 2022 season for financial reasons. The player spent last year with the New England Patriots, where he accumulated 642 yards and 3 touchdowns.


The 28-year-old will wear number 15 for the Cowboys, rather than number 21 as he did during his first spell with the team.


Elliott totaled 8, 904 rushing yards and 71 touchdowns in regular season games.
