World No. 1 Iga Swiatek defeated No. 3 Coco Gauff in the semifinals of Roland Garros - 6:2, 6:4. The score in head-to-head matches was 11:1 in favor of the Polish woman.


In the second set, Szwiatek left the score 1:3.


Szwiatek won her 18th match in a row. She repeated her longest winning streak on clay - 18 matches between tournaments from livescore in Stuttgart and Warsaw in 2022.


Szwiatek moved up to fourth in the Open era for longest winning streak at Roland Garros. She won 20 matches in a row at the tournament. Steffi Graf had the same number (1987-1989). Justine Henin (24 matches, 2005-2010), Monica Seles (25, 1990-1996) and Chris Evert (29, 1974-1981) had longer streaks.


Swiatek reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the fifth time in her career, including the fourth time in Paris. She is the champion of the 2022 US Open and three Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023).


Only Graf was younger than Swiatek when she reached her fourth Roland Garros final. The German achieved this in 1990, when she was 20 years old.


On Saturday, Szwiatek will compete for the title with Mirra Andreeva or Jasmine Paolini.
