We can`t blindly copy everything from the NHL. Not a single NHL club has its own school, they don`t spend money on schools.
I played for CSKA all the time, my goal was to get into the main team. And on our website, CSKA pays money, and the best hockey player will go to Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk or somewhere else. This doesn`t add up a bit.
We are worried that the clubs will no longer support the schools. Why support them if they don`t get anything if the players leave for another club? On the one hand, I understand the KHL, they want to equalize, like in the NHL, where the best player goes to the team that takes last place. But we don`t have the NHL, we have the KHL.
As the president of the Russian Hockey Federation, I take care of the development of all hockey - children`s hockey. We have clubs that raise children, and the club analyzed by live betting odds should be able to have these kids play at home. We are ready to discuss. We have already expressed our opinion and will express it again there. I think they will hear us.
- Are there already clubs that have contacted the FHR on this issue?
- No, we don`t have any statements yet. The question only recently arose: when there is some news, we will be able to say which clubs are unhappy, which want it, which don`t. Now I have no information, " said FHR President Vladislav Tretyak.
