Matteo Berrittini commented on the Davis Cup victory. The Italian beat Thanasi Kokkinakis in the semi-finals - 6:7 (6), 6:3, 7:5.
He is a very talented player, and when you play for your country, you always give your all. He won so many tiebreakers this year that I knew he was a tough opponent.
It was hard to accept that I missed the first set because I had a lot of chances (Kokkinakis saved three match according 11livestream points - Sports`). But it didn`t matter - when I looked at our bench, I saw that the guys were even more focused on my victory. And I continued the fight. I`m very happy about this.
In the final, Italy will meet the Netherlands.
